The West

So in the West I visited Yellowstone Park, Los Angels, Hoover Dam, Pacific Ocean, and the Golden Gate Bridge. In Yellowstone Park there is a large variety of grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. There is over 300 geysers! It is one of the hot spots in the world! Also Yellowstone has 18 species of fish, 6 reptiles, 4 amphibians, and 311 birds. A lot of animal right?

In Los Angles is the most populaur city in California. By 1990, the population grew to more than 102,000! The Northridge earthquake shook Los Angles and had caused $21.5 billion in damage. It also caused 72 deaths. Now, a lot of people still visit Los Angles.

Hoover Dam was once known as Boulder Dam. It was constructed between 1931-1936 so it was about 5 years. It is located near Boulder City, Nevada. Nearly a million people visit the dam each year. The bridge for the dam came to mind in the 1960s.

The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean of all Earth. It also has the deepest average depth. Also it is dotted with small volcanic islands. For an example: Hawaii. The Pacific Ocean is so big it takes 12 hours to fly over it. That is about 2 school days! It is also 10,000 meters deep.

Finally the Golden Gate Bridge. It is also located in California. It is 746 feet above the water. The fame has to do something with its beautiful setting. The construction began on January 5, 1933. The color of the bridge is international orange.

To the West

Right know I am in Mount Rushmore. But in the West I want to go to Yellow Stone Park. I heard that it is a pretty place. But I don't know anything because I never been there or seen a picture. That is why I want to go to Yellow Stone Park. I think I'm going to know a lot more when I visit Yellow Stone Park.

I also want to learn more about the Gold Rush. I know it was in California and people all over the world came. I think people from China came to get the gold too. They panned for gold. That means that they used a pan and gently swayed the pan back and front until all the water was gone except the gold.

Also I want visit the mountains and volcanoes if there is any. I know one of them are M.t. Helens.
I can't wait to visit the West.

My First Visit

So I was starting my trip and I went to the Mississippi River!
There was so much information! It is 2,348 miles long! (3,779 km) It is also the second largest river. Also it is the tenth most powerful river in the world! I would never ever going to swim in that river! Guess what? It is also the fourth largest river world too.

The water is 260 feet deep. It is located in North  America. It also gives us plenty of fresh water. My friend asked me if I would like to swim in the Mississippi River. I said no because it is the tenth most powerful riverin the world and she suddenly said never mind. So I laughed. But any how I think my trip is going to turn out  great.

Starting My Road Trip

I'm so excited to explore the United States! I think it's going to be pretty fun but a lot of work. I really want to learn about all the regions. I think I'll really enjoy going to all the regions.
I really want to go to Nebraska. I studied it about our Midwest project. The reason I want to go to Nebraska is because in a picture I saw the Chimney Rock and I thought it was really cool. Also I want to see the farming too.

I want to figure out if there is old folktales made in the Midwest, and if their is volcanoes in the Midwest. I am also excited about the project. Are you? I want to know everything about the Midwest. Don't you? If you don't probably it is only me. If yes you are so right! It is going to be awesome! Don't you think? I know farming is really important. I think I'm really going to enjoy the project. :)
