Northeast
Finally, we are in the Northeast. Well I know a some facts. I am sure to go to the Statue of Liberty, and New York. I am really excited. I do know some important facts about the Statue of Liberty. It stands for freedom, hope, oppertunity, and friendship between other countries. The Statue of Liberty is a very special present from France. I also know about the 13 colonies. Without the 13 colonies there wouldn't be the American Revolution and United States. They were the first 13 states. In Vermont the Maple Trees are very important. They produce a lot of maple syrup. That means they also have money. I still hope I could learn some more. See you in teh Northeast!

Slavery
I hate slavery. I can't believe I'm a slave when I'm a mix of black and white! I'm already separated with my parents, and I'm getting sold for 800 dollars! I'm so scared! Why can't white work on their own? My relatives are trying to sell me. Eventually they are fighting over me. Did I ever mention I was a child? Are children supposed to be separated? I don't think so!
Am I dreaming?Am getting separated? I can’t believe it! I don’t know if I should escape or not. Anyway I am a child! I want to but I don’t want to get caught! Ahhhhh! I’m so scared! I’m planning to wait and go with the others and take my family before we are separated. I hate my life whats the difference of white and black? What is the difference? I don’t get it! Can’t they just get along?
So I decided to wait. You know what?! I have a chance to be in a plantation! I didn’t even run away yet. I hate slavery. I hate the white. Who doesn’t? Soon I will escape. No matter what. Escape, escape, escape, escape, escape.........

I Escaped!
I escaped! Yay! Eventually my master caught me in the middle of the night. That is not a yay. That is a boo-hoo. He released his dogs after he saw me. Why doesn't he come after me? Master's are so lazy. Any way the dogs came after me. The dogs caught me but didn't stop attacking me. I did not survive my escape and attack. I only tried to escape once. I think he knew that I was going to escape because of my other journal how I kept writing escape. I died. But I think in real life it would be even more sad the we could think. Crying for mercy, not to be separated with family members. I'm really glad those things are over. We would be very sad if we got separated with our family or even if one of them died. I feel very sad for the slaves and happy it is over.

The Southeast
I'm going to the Southeast! I really want to go to te Appalachian Trail. I also might visit th Gulf of Mexico, and the Atlantic Ocean. I know there is good soil so they have farming. But is the farming more important to the Midwest or the Southest? For resources I want to learn about the cottons, peanuts, and cash crops. I also want to sail to the barrier islands. Did I tell you I also want to go to the Everglades? I don't know so much about the Southeast. So I would love if people would give me some ideas where to go. Anyway I hope you are excited as I am. Type back soon!

Where I Went in the Southwest
I went to so many places in the Southwest! I went to the Grand Canyon, Colorado River, Canyon De Chelly National Monument, Oklahoma city, and Flagstaff. At those places I learned so many facts. In the Grand Canyon I learned that it takes up 1,218,376 acres of land. It is also 277 miles long, 18 miles wide, and 5,000 feet deep. Guess What? It formed a million years ago. Do you know how many animals live in the Grand Canyon? 50 species of reptiles, 25 species of fish, and 300 species of birds.
The Colorado River is Located in Texas. It is the 18th largest river in the United States. It is also curved by the Grand Canyon. The average depth is 20 feet. It is 1,450 miles long.
Canyon De Chelly National Monument has a legend of Spider Woman who keeps the bones of her enemies on Spider Rock. I learned that it was established on April 1,1931. The Navajoes lived here for the last 300 years. It is 131 square miles long. It is located in Arizona.
In the Oklahoma City I learned that Oklahoma City was settled on April 22, 1889. It is 69,903 square miles long. It is the largest city in Oklahoma. The water area is 2.28 percent.
Flagstaff is located in Arizona. I learned that it is 63.6 square miles. It is in the Northern part of Arizona. The first permanent settlement was in 1887. Indians settled in Flagstaff first.

The West
So in the West I visited Yellowstone Park, Los Angels, Hoover Dam, Pacific Ocean, and the Golden Gate Bridge. In Yellowstone Park there is a large variety of grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. There is over 300 geysers! It is one of the hot spots in the world! Also Yellowstone has 18 species of fish, 6 reptiles, 4 amphibians, and 311 birds. A lot of animal right?
In Los Angles is the most populaur city in California. By 1990, the population grew to more than 102,000! The Northridge earthquake shook Los Angles and had caused $21.5 billion in damage. It also caused 72 deaths. Now, a lot of people still visit Los Angles.
Hoover Dam was once known as Boulder Dam. It was constructed between 1931-1936 so it was about 5 years. It is located near Boulder City, Nevada. Nearly a million people visit the dam each year. The bridge for the dam came to mind in the 1960s.
The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean of all Earth. It also has the deepest average depth. Also it is dotted with small volcanic islands. For an example: Hawaii. The Pacific Ocean is so big it takes 12 hours to fly over it. That is about 2 school days! It is also 10,000 meters deep.
Finally the Golden Gate Bridge. It is also located in California. It is 746 feet above the water. The fame has to do something with its beautiful setting. The construction began on January 5, 1933. The color of the bridge is international orange.
